In recent years, China’s GDP has continued to grow, yet the labor share has not increased in a consistent manner. This paper employs an empirical analysis based on data from Jilin Province, China. It uses questionnaires and econometric modeling methods to investigate the role of gender in economic life and the role of other factors (such as employment pressure, the role of unions, etc.) in this process. The questionnaire survey examines the current state of gender employment discrimination in China, focusing on the existence, causes, and influencing factors of employment discrimination. In constructing the econometric model, this paper assumes a negative relationship between the proportion of female employees and the labor share, while there is a positive relationship between female education level and the labor income share. The two hypotheses, based on common sense and literature, are then tested by an econometric model. The results indicate that the proportion of female employees is indeed negatively correlated with the share of labor income, suggesting that women face more significant employment challenges.

This study aims to investigate the impact of internet addiction on the self-efficacy of middle school students after the resumption of classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to analyze corresponding countermeasures. In the field of education, the application of self-efficacy has significant implications. Enhancing individual self-efficacy plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of internet addiction. There is a negative correlation between internet addiction and self-efficacy, meaning that the higher the level of internet addiction, the lower the self-efficacy of middle school students. Based on this, this paper proposes interventions to enhance self-efficacy and prevent internet addiction. In a supportive social and policy environment, through concerted efforts from schools and families, we can effectively address internet addiction issues amidst the backdrop of COVID-19, promoting students' physical and mental health development, enhancing their self-efficacy, reducing their dependency and obsession with the internet. Future research could further explore the specific factors influencing internet addiction and self-efficacy, conduct more detailed cross-group comparative studies, and examine the differences and correlations between different groups in terms of internet addiction and self-efficacy. We will also continue to explore the possibility of using intelligent technology to intervene in internet addiction, devising personalized treatment plans tailored to individual characteristics and needs.

In the context of the digital era, video games, as an emerging form of entertainment, have become the focus of research in terms of their design and optimization of user experience. This study focuses on the application of digital music in games and its impact on player experience, aiming to reveal how music elements deepen the immersion and emotional resonance of games. According to the analysis, digital music significantly enhances game immersion and players' emotional engagement through dynamic music systems, close integration with game narratives, and innovative applications in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) games. In particular, games such as Traveler provide players with a unique empathic experience and deep emotional impact through well-designed music and sound interactions, demonstrating the central role of music in enhancing game narratives and building game worlds. However, the study also points out the technical, subjective, and culturally sensitive limitations of digital music in game design, challenges that need to be faced and overcome by future game developers and music creators alike.

This comparative study delves into the variations in student reading proficiency across nations as evidenced by the PISA 2022 data. Through the analysis of datasets from diverse countries, the study seeks to uncover patterns and discrepancies in reading performance. Key factors such as the education system, family background, and availability of learning resources are meticulously compared to ascertain their influence on reading proficiency. The study's findings reveal that disparities in reading abilities among students stem from a multitude of factors, rather than a singular cause. As a result, this study advocates for the implementation of interventions to address these disparities and ultimately enhance the reading proficiency of students globally. Firstly, policymakers should strive to create a more equitable environment for students' reading performance. Concurrently, resources must be allocated to bolster teacher training programs, thereby enhancing teaching standards and proficiency. Additionally, families need to enhance their involvement and support for children's reading progress. Finally, schools and teachers should employ more comprehensive assessment methods for students' reading achievements.

Gender stereotypes are often discussed as potential explanations for disparities observed in communication, job satisfaction, and the treatment of individuals within workplace environments. This study aims to investigate the persistence of such gender differences and explore existing literature explanations. Utilizing an online questionnaire, 96 participants from diverse professional backgrounds in China were recruited for this research. The results indicate that by holding communication skill levels constant, female employees exhibit higher levels of job satisfaction. These findings underscore a significant gender disparity in how communication skills influence job satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of adopting gender-sensitive approaches to enhance workplace satisfaction and ensure equitable opportunities for all employees. Future research should delve deeper into the underlying factors contributing to these disparities and develop strategies to improve communication effectiveness and job satisfaction across diverse workforce demographics.

The attentional control setting is a search template containing target features. Individuals can establish attentional control settings based on the color, size, semantics, joint location-feature of stimulus and even relationships between targets and non-targets. When multiple targets exist, participants may establish multiple attentional control settings or a control setting based on the feature singleton item. However, the processing stage of the attentional control setting is still controversial. Future studies should further analyze the time course of attention control setting in different experimental paradigms to provide solutions to existing controversies, while examining the quantitative limits of attention control setting and the influence of distractor inhibition as a control setting on visual search.

With the development of AI and other computer technologies, AIED has begun to cause new reforms in the international education. At present, most Higher education institutions in European and American countries adopt AIED to varying degrees to assist and improve the teaching environment and teaching experience of international students. This article will mainly compare the application of AIED in universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, interview Chinese students and faculty at each university through questionnaires, and analyze the interviewers’ attitudes towards AIED. This article will also collect reviews from international students and international education practitioners on some commonly used learning assistance platforms based on AI technology, such as MOOCS and Grammarly. This article decoded the collected interview comments and coded and integrated similar information as well. The final conclusion of this article is that the vast majority of educational professionals and international students believe that the benefits of AIED’s application outweigh the disadvantages, but ethical consideration could be drastically significant.

This paper investigates the complex dynamics between language policy, ideological influences, and the use of machine translation (MT) tools in the translation of multilingual documents within the European Union (EU). A corpus-based analysis was employed to examine how language policies and ideological preferences shape translation practices, particularly focusing on governmental and marketing materials. The study reveals significant tendencies towards lexical standardization and syntactic homogenization, driven by the efficiency-oriented ideologies embedded within language policies. Furthermore, it highlights the ethical and practical challenges posed by MT, including cultural flattening and the potential undermining of local nuances crucial for effective communication. The interplay between compliance and resistance by human translators under restrictive language policies is also explored, showing how translators navigate between policy constraints and their own professional judgments. This paper contributes to the broader discourse on the impact of technological advances on translation practices, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach that respects linguistic diversity while leveraging technological efficiencies.

Social belonging is a basic need for human beings, and the workplace is where adults spend the most time of their day. Thus, social belonging in the workplace is important. This study aimed to analyze the implications belongingness has on Chinese employees' working behaviour based on their age, gender, and work attributes (brain workers, manual workers, and general workers). The research offered a questionnaire to 100 Chinese workers who have worked in a company for more than three months. The result indicates that around 80% of people would be affected by salaries and personal development space, and females tend to be impacted by communication and the arrangement of work more than males, general workers’ production would be impacted by weak social belongingness more seriously than the other two types workers. Future research should prioritize investigating the impact of social belongingness on various factors in the workplace and identifying the most effective ways to enhance it.

This paper aims to reveal the function mode, communication effect and coping strategy of social media in crisis communication and provide theoretical support and practical reference for improving public crisis awareness and crisis coping ability. At the same time, this paper provides reference for establishing an effective crisis communication management mechanism, which is helpful to improve the public's cognition and understanding of crisis events.

Why do some countries fail to avoid democratic collapse even after the establishment of a democratic system? This paper aims to explain why emerging democracies suffer democratic collapse, using Venezuela as a typical case, and tries to construct a colonial legacy-neoliberal policy analytical framework, hypothesizing that the colonial legacy and the neoliberal policies adopted by the ruling party will have an impact on democratic collapse. It is found that the political, social, and cultural heritage inherited from the colonial period affects a country's informal system and political culture, which in turn increases the probability of democratic collapse. Neoliberal policies adopted by a country's ruling party can exacerbate economic inequality and social divisions, which in turn may cause democratic collapse. This paper bridges the gap between the existing explanations of democratic collapse and, on the basis of the existing structural explanations, focuses on the impact of informal institutions on democratic collapse, suggesting that factors such as patronage and hierarchy in informal institutions may increase the risk of democratic collapse. In terms of actor factors, focusing on political parties and policies rather than elite individuals, it is suggested that the adoption of neoliberal policies by the ruling party in emerging democracies increases the probability of democratic collapse.

This article uses the research methodology of literature review to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the disparities and attributes of the two shooting games, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Valorant, in terms of gameplay, community engagement, and business strategy. Through detailed analysis, this article finds that Valorant emphasizes character diversity and innovative skill systems in game design to enhance the strategy and interactivity of the game; while CS2 retains the fundamental aspects of traditional first-person shooting games, such as precise tactical execution and technical requirements, focusing on the technical depth and operational difficulty of the game. In terms of business model, CS2 continues the open market system for skin trading , fostering economic interaction among players. In contrast, Valorant adopts a more closed and direct sales approach, offering exclusive skins at fixed prices, and exerting control over the market. This research serves as a valuable resource for game developers in shaping future game design and market strategy, and it also introduces a new theoretical perspective to the field of game research, enhancing the understand of how different game designs influence player behavior and market response.

This paper reviews the current situation of interdisciplinary teaching for primary and secondary school teachers, as well as the cultivation and enhancement pathways of teachers' interdisciplinary literacy and abilities, presenting a focused view of interdisciplinary teaching research. The review finds that existing literature covers a wide range of topics but lacks depth; it mostly consists of speculative discussions or personal reflections, with a scarcity of empirical research. While attention has been given to how pre-service teacher education can enhance teachers' interdisciplinary teaching literacy, there is a neglect of issues regarding the enhancement of interdisciplinary teaching literacy for in-service teachers. Future research in this field should focus on in-depth exploration of "small issues" and prioritize empirical research, emphasizing how to help in-service teachers enhance their interdisciplinary teaching literacy.

Then, we expound on the concept of smart teaching and discuss the roles of digital virtual humans in smart teaching, such as teaching assistants, personalized learning tutors, and simulated learning environments. We also analyze the advantages and challenges of digital virtual humans in smart teaching, including aspects like language understanding, emotion recognition, and privacy security. Finally, this paper discusses the development trends and challenges of digital virtual humans, providing new ideas and directions for the education field, exploring how to achieve smart teaching in the virtual world, in order to better meet the learning needs of students and improve the quality and effectiveness of education.

The introduction of social media has had a significant impact on many parts of modern life, including the nature of family connections, which is a developing topic of study. The purpose of this article was to look at the impact of social media on family interactions in contemporary China. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire was created to interview family members from various generations of Chinese families on the influence of social media on their intra-family ties. The poll results show that more than half of respondents believe there is a generational gap in social media use among elder family members, and the effect of closing this gap is unclear. The study found that three variables contributed to the generation gap among family members: disparities in learning ability, a lack of age-appropriate design of relevant social media applications, and differences in preferences for using social media functions. To close the generation gap, it is vital to integrate media, compensate cognitively, and encourage family members to appreciate and communicate with one another. The rise of social media is an important trend that will continue to evolve in the future. This study seeks to present fresh ideas and answers for the harmonious development of family connections in the ever-changing world of social media.

The word "吃([chi] eat)" has been widely used in Chinese and it has thus derived rich connotations and complex metaphors. Taking "吃([chi] eat)" and its related phrases as the research object, this paper classifies its metaphorical types into six categories based on its eight senses recorded in the dictionary. For each type of metaphor, the derivation from the original meaning to the extended meaning is explained and the connotation is stated and further described with detailed examples. Because the formation of language is inseparable from the influence of culture, this paper also analyzes the cultural psychological factors behind the metaphors of "吃([chi] eat)" from the perspectives of its importance, delicacy, and richness. Closely combined with Chinese history and geographical conditions, a unique explanation for its wide use and great importance is thus provided.
