    Notes

Educational innovation has become an important issue on a global scale. The evolution of society and technology has provided new ways to improve future teaching achievements. It also allows us to seek different solutions to the problems that were difficult to solve in the past. On the other hand, our conference aims at unveiling and inspecting the philosophical inquiries usually hidden among the lines of logical debate. We hope that inter-disciplinary studies with a social scientific focus can all be traced back to the very source of their philosophical pursuits and eventually contribute to the creation of knowledge.

How does the disclosure of investigations affect the public's fear on the epidemic?

With the outbreak of COVID-19 and the adoption of the epidemiological investigation, the disclosure of epidemiological investigation has also aroused public fear and even caused online violence. Therefore, it is essential to explore the root causes of mass panic to reduce public fear fundamentally. Based on the extended parallel process model, this paper systematically studies the effectiveness of epidemiological investigation disclosure on the public fear of the epidemic and puts forward reasonable suggestions for maintaining public opinion health and reducing public opinion violence. This paper collected 126 questionnaires what investigated samples from four dimensions, Susceptibility, severity, self-efficacy, and response efficacy, to explore the relationship between these four variables and public fear. Through correlation analysis and regression analysis of questionnaire data, the higher the perceived threat and perceived efficacy are, the higher the public fear degree is, and the more willing people are to accept the prevention and control suggestions. In the evaluation process, Susceptibility and self-efficacy are positively associated with the level of public fear, while severity and response efficacy had no significant effect on it. The results showed that relevant science popularization should be strengthened, perceived threat and perceived efficacy should be improved, and the balance between the precision of the epidemiological investigation and public privacy should be maintained.

Investigation of Users’ Experience of Social Media’s Personalized Recommendation — The Case of Xiaohongshu

This research was conducted on Chinese participants between 18 and 25. A self-administered questionnaire was developed and distributed to 475 Xiaohongshu users. This research investigated how are Chinese young adults affected by what the Personalized Recommendations of Xiaohongshu show them and how Xiaohongshu is engineering its platform so that its users “trust” it. This research also explored whether Xiaohongshu’s users want to opt out of their AI bubble or do they prefer the way the platform tailors the world to their interests. The results suggested that participants tended to accept the homogeneity content pushed by Xiaohongshu and ignore the information missing because of the personalized recommendation. This research also indicated that users could not wholly jump out of the filter bubbles, though some of them are willing to do it. This research was an addition to the literature on the tension in social media between product promotion and privacy.

The Trends and Factors in the presentation of athletes' media images

With the media explosion of Ailing Gu and other athletes at the Beijing Winter Olympics, the topic of the media image of gold medal athletes had attracted much academic attention again. The current study reviewed the media image of gold medalists from two aspects, the developing trends and the factors including communication medium, subjects, and audience. The results showed that the media image of athletes showed a trend of diversified and commercialized content, which was closely related to the more diverse communication platforms, rich communication subjects, and wide audience in the new media era. Communicators’ message filter, a strong sense of social responsibility for the athletes, and a better media literate of the audience were necessary to cope with the problems that appear during its development. These findings were critical for better understanding China's economic and social development and examining ideas and methods for improving public perception of sports culture.

Study of Chinese Post-90s Consumers Purchase Intention about Health Product Based on Planned Behavior Theory

With the change of lifestyle, more and more Chinese post-90s consumers choose to improve their health condition by purchasing health care products. Currently, there is insufficient attention to the role played by this consumer group in the dramatically transformed health care market in China, and most of the studies are superficial, staying at the gaze of ordinary consumers' consumption perspective, lacking profound and specific research on the influence of health anxiety factors in the psychological level, and the conclusions and recommendations drawn are not in-depth enough. This study investigates the behavioral transformation of Chinese post-90s health care consumers based on the Theory of Planned Behavior to provide a reference for the promotion and correction of youth health care behaviors and to supplement the deficiencies of the Theory of Planned Behavior in the emerging health care field. This study used a survey of 215 post-90s consumers, and to ensure the reliability of the scale, descriptive statistics, reliability tests and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS 26.0. The findings of this experiment can provide guiding suggestions for guiding young consumers to choose health care products correctly and rationally.

Analysis on the Effects of Misinformation: Taking Facebook as an Example

Nowadays, misinformation is widely spread on the Internet. It affects people's minds, defining what they think. Social media platforms such as Facebook started working on solutions, but they have not defeated the issues yet. The following content of this paper analyzes the effects of misinformation in detail, suggesting some possible ways to improve public consciousness. It applies the Two-Step Flow Theory of Communication and Agenda Setting Theory to the current issues on Facebook, empathizing the need to address them properly. The research conducted showed that misinformation is especially harmful to information society, in which information is significant for economic, political, and cultural activity. It misleads inadvertently, diminishing the role of truth in reality and the Internet. The application of the Two-Step Flow Theory of Communication and Agenda Setting Theory revealed that social media now determines the social agenda, with bloggers and influences perceived as more credible news informers for people than average news reportages. To address the effects of misinformation, either Facebook or the US government or the US population itself should equally contribute to fighting against misinformation by spreading awareness of the problem in the country. They should organize more initiatives promoting people's immunity to misinformation on the Internet. Only spreading awareness of the problem could help individuals critically evaluate every post they see and remain true to their personal opinions and minds.

A More Effective and Safer Treatment of Separation Anxiety

Separation anxiety is one of the most common canine-related disorders in dogs (Canis Familiaris) and charactered by the presentation of unacceptable levels of anxiety related behaviors in the absence of the human companion. While pharmaceutical treatment with antidepressant drugs shows some evidence for effectiveness, the impact is limited, and negative side effects are reported. In contrast, behavioral modification is proposed as an effective and safe method to address separation anxiety, but clinical research is lacking. This work reports the application of associative theory to animal behavioral treatment that considers the role of three senses for a treatment plan; vision, audition, and olfaction and has accumulated 129 successful cases in ten years. Summary data demonstrates the practical advantages including safety for the dogs and perceived effectiveness for the owners.

Individuals Utilization Behavior While Using Critical Healthcare Systems (Medical Ventilator)

Ergonomics and human factors play an important role in interaction design. Poor usabil-ity design of critical safety systems can easily lead to human error. While inspecting the critical systems, there are vital factors that have to be considered, such as demographic, organizational, interface design, and task factors. This study has inspected the influence of different demographic factors (age, gender, and education) on the medical ventilator system's usability. The primary purpose is to seek the difference in task completion time, reflection time, and the number of touches during the interaction, considering different demographic factors. As well as to seek the difference in perceived task workload in-dex. To test the study hypothesis, the Hamilton-c6 ventilator prototype was developed. The experiments were conducted on 54 participants, including physicians and nurses, in a controlled environment from different public-private sector hospitals in Pakistan. De-scriptive statistics and ANOVA were used to assess the study objectives. The results suggest significant differences between male vs. female and physician's vs. nurses groups while interacting with safety-critical systems. However, the difference between young and older adults was not significant. These findings have substantial implications for the effective user-centric design of safety-critical systems.

Research on The Identity Construction of Chinese Hip-Hop Fans

Hip-Hop culture was born in black neighborhoods in the United States, Since its introduction to China, it has been excluded from the mainstream cultural system and remained "underground" for a long time. However, with the broadcast of "The Rap of China", a show featuring hip-hop music, hip-hop culture has attracted widespread attention in China, and the number of Chinese hip-hop fans has exploded. This paper takes Chinese hip-hop culture and Chinese hip-hop fans as the research objects, attempts to explore how hip-hop fans achieve identity construction from their perspective. This research mainly adopts quantitative research and qualitative research through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with hip-hop fans, and finds that the identity construction of hip-hop fans has two aspects: self-identity construction through hip-hop fans' pursuit of an "ideal self", resonance with hip-hop music and consumption behavior, and social identity construction through their interaction with "in-groups" and "out-groups". Although there are some limitations in the methods and conclusions, this paper will still be beneficial to further explore the chinese hip-hop fans research from the perspective of identity construction.

The Cultural Factors in Moderate to Severe Depression and Relevant Interventions

Depression is resulted from a mixture of hereditary and environmental variables. This article mainly considered biological, genetic, and psychological influences on depression. For environmental aspects, this paper aims to identify the impact of different cultures on depression. The most relevant previous studies were reviewed. The findings suggest that culture does play a role in the development of depression. This review mainly examined studies that compared the effects of individualistic and collectivistic cultures on depression. Traditional filial piety culture and thin culture showed different effects on depression. In addition to the traditional gender roles of certain cultures, caste and other cultural differences can also have an impact on the development of depression. Similarly, prenatal depression is more common in immigrants and poor countries than in non-immigrants and industrialized countries. Resilience and social support are two protective factors for mental health, and these two factors have different degrees of influence depending on the culture. There is still limited amount of research investigated the effects of different cultures on depression. More research on the characteristics of different cultures and their association with depression is needed in the future. This review can provide some guidance for furture research and practice. Prevention and intervention programs for children and families should incorporate cultural factors.

The Etiology in Eating Disorders: Examples of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder

Eating disorder (ED) is one set of mental illnesses distinguished by aberrant eating patterns. According to the DSM, they are categorized into Four Edition, revised (DSM-IV): anorexia nervosa (AN), binge eating disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa (BN), and an atypical eating disorder(ED). Biological factors, psychological issues, social factors, and family influences are all categorized as causes or risks of BN, AN, and BED. From a biological, psychological, and social standpoint, the etiologies of these three types of ED are inextricably intertwined. In terms of biological parameters, all three have a significant heritability and are attached to dopamine and 5-HT release. Both AN and BN people show different manifestations of epigenetic processes. The value of slimness and the promotion of a slender figure culture in society supply may refer to the prevalence of AN, BN, and BED. As a result, the significance of the three forms of ED must be seriously considered. More concern needs to be given to the effect of culture on these three typical ED. Multiple treatments for these three ED also need to be further investigated. Overall, there is still much to learn about this eating condition.

The Impact of Childhood Maltreatment on Risk of Borderline Personality Disorder

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a personality disorder characterized by emotional over-sensitivity. People with BPD show symptoms of erratic behavior, having a fear of abandonment, and experiencing unstable social relationships. The factors and elements that influence the development of BPD are uncertain and varied, but there is a correlation between the development of BPD and the person's experience of abuse and other adverse factors. The aim of this review is to understand the factors and elements in BPD development. According to previous studies, emotional and sexual abuse experienced in childhood is a very important cause of the development of BPD. Low levels of caregiver warmth and neglect are associated with the development of BPD symptoms but are not determinative. At the same time, personality traits play an essential role in the resilience of BPD. In addition, BPD often coexists with other psychological disorders. Neuroticism as a personality trait is significantly associated with BPD. Brain differences between BPD and typical controls may lead to differences in their emotions and their ability to regulate emotions, which is related to their ability to control their emotional impulses. This paper illustrates the impact of adverse childhood experiences and negative parenting styles on the risk of BPD. One limitations of previous studies is that most of the studies were conducted on women, and gender differences may lead to a certain degree of bias in the exploration of influencing factors. Future studies should invetigate this topic in larger and diverse samples. This study can contribute to the design of relevant prevention and parent education programs in school.
